WordPress has no built-in way to replace a media file. The usual workaround is to upload a new one and manually update every page, post, and template that references the old file. This plugin removes that work.
Replaces in place. The attachment ID stays the same so every existing reference updates automatically. Old thumbnails are deleted and regenerated.
